Symphony of the Seas Part 4 of 4 – Staterooms and Suites

This will be the last post in our 4 part series on Royal Caribbean’s Symphony of the Seas mega ship.  This post is going to focus on the staterooms and suites on-board.  Before we jump into it, I just have to say, it is a bit sad to have to see this one come to an end.  I have enjoyed writing about this ship almost as much as I enjoyed being on her.  There are some unique and incredible accommodations on this ship.  Let’s start out with the most unique and exciting, “The Ultimate Family Suite”.

Wow, this suite is incredible.  Multiple game systems, 85 inch TV, Coke machine, Lego wall, and more, it is built for family entertainment.  It is decorated vibrantly and meant to be fun.  The signature piece in here is the slide that goes from the top floor to the bottom.  Definitely not something you see every day.  I really wanted to go down the slide, but kind of felt like I was cheating on my kids.  Plus there was a lady at the top blocking it from Royal.  Pretty sure she was there to keep people like me from going down it.  There are bunk beds for kids on the top level.  Each one has it’s own TV.  If I spent the kind of money it takes to reserve this I’m not letting my kids sleep either.  There is also a little pet door between the kids bedroom and the master.  Not sure what that is about but  I think it goes with the fun theme, very random.

Let’s not forget the Royal Genie, your own private concierge that can arrange exclusive access to everything on board.  There are 2 drawbacks on this suite.  The only bad drawback is the price tag.  It ranges from roughly $40,000-80,000 for 7 days.  If you can afford that, please call me.  I obviously lost your address and phone number but would like to get your Christmas card to you right away.  The second is that with as much as there is to do in this suite, you won’t want to leave it.

Next up is the 2 level Royal Loft Suite.  It’s like the Ultimate Family Suite, just for adults.  The Royal Loft Suite looks over the back of the ship.  It has 2 bedrooms a separate living room, dining room and an incredible balcony.  There is also a grand piano and a Royal Genie.  If I recall correctly there was a walk in (walk around) closet bigger than my closet at home.  We had trouble finding space for our suitcases, and they get a grand piano and walk in closet.  What am I doing wrong?  The balcony has cool binoculars to look out over the sea in case you need a break from the bar or hot tub.

The last suite to talk about is the 2 bedroom Aquatheater suite.  You can actually watch the aqua show HiRO from your balcony, because, who wants to be with all the other riff raff on the ship, am I right?  It has a huge balcony perfect for taking in the show.  There are 2 full bathrooms.  This would actually be another great room for families.  I’d love to show you pictures but apparently I was too busy recovering from walking through the other suites and thinking about how much cooler this was than my seat (which was great) to actually take good pictures here.

For the rest of us, the next thing to talk about are the balcony rooms.  I thought the rooms looked great.  Plenty of plugs and they even include USB plugs for the electronic devices.  The closets were actually pretty spacious.  Big enough to stow a decent full sized suit case.  As far as where the balcony cabins are and what view, you have a few choices here.

There are Ocean View, Boardwalk View and Central Park View.  From a size standpoint, they are all pretty much the same.  The only ones where you won’t at least glimpse the ocean are the Central Park balconies.  The Central Park and Boardwalk tend to be a little less expensive and at the time of this blog offer more additional amenities.  One of the questions I get a lot is “Are the Central Park and Boardwalk noisy”?  We were in a Boardwalk room while there was a lot of sound going on outside.  As long as you have the balcony door locked which actually creates a seal, it was pretty quiet inside.  I have a cool video demonstrating this if anyone wants it.  The other thing to remember about the Boardwalk and Central Park balconies is that you will have people across from you.  Keep that in mind for privacy purposes.

Obviously the suites on the ship are the showcase but the rooms are nice.  If you have questions or comments please let me know.  This is an incredible ship that I highly encourage going on if you get the opportunity.  If you would like to see more pictures of our trip feel free to visit our Symphony of the Seas Facebook Album.
